April is Adrenal Disease Awareness Month

NADF is excited to offer a variety of activities throughout the month in recognition of our incredible community at home and abroad. Join us in:

NADF encourages our community to raise awareness, deepen understanding, and revisit key educational resources throughout the month. Follow along and help spread the word using #AADAM2026 on social media.

How to light up your city for adrenal disease awareness month

STEP 1: SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST

Identify potential landmarks—buildings, bridges, homes, stadiums, and other local points of interest—in your area that offer to illuminate landmarks for a specific cause. Complete any applications or request forms required by the landmark you are asking to light up. Use our template letter to submit the request.

STEP 2: Let NADF know 

Once your landmark has confirmed let us know. Fill out the Contact Us form and write the name of the landmark or building in the “Comment” section.

STEP 3: PROMOTE YOUR MONUMENT!

Make your local community aware by sharing pictures on social media. Please tag NADF using #AADAM2026!

Light up your home for Adrenal Diseases Awareness! 

You can also show your support from the comfort of your home. We want to encourage as many people as possible to participate in Light Up for Adrenal Awareness Month and we hope that some of these creative tips will help prepare you to illuminate your home. 

STEP 1: SHOWCASE YOUR ARTISTIC SIDE

Use blue window paint and colors to create a work of art that fills the windows of your home.

STEP 2: USE BLUE LIGHTBULBS

Replace the light bulbs inside and outside with blue colored bulbs, or hang blue string lights around your home. 

STEP 3: DOCUMENT AND SHARE

Take a picture of yourself with the illuminations or decorations you displayed and post it on your social media. Be sure to tag NADF and use #AADAM2026.

How to Request a Proclamation in your Municipality

STEP 1: SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST

Download the letter template provided below and adjust it to reflect your personal story. Email it or print and send to your local government office. They will contact you with a time and place to receive your proclamation.

STEP 2: LET NADF KNOW 

Once your landmark has confirmed let us know. Fill out the Contact Us form and write the name of your municipality in the “Comment” section.

STEP 3: PROMOTE YOUR MONUMENT!

Make your local community aware by sharing pictures on social media. Please tag NADF using #AADAM2026!
