Join the International Adrenal Consortium (IAC) in celebrating the inaugural

International Adrenal Disease Awareness Day

on April 7, 2025!

The IAC is a global network of patient advocacy and other organizations dedicated to supporting individuals affected by adrenal diseases across Europe, North and South America, and Australia. Our shared mission is to amplify the voices of those impacted, raise awareness, and improve education for patients, caregivers, and the medical community.

Adrenal diseases affect millions worldwide, significantly impacting health and quality of life.
The adrenal glands, located atop the kidneys, produce essential hormones such as cortisol, aldosterone, and epinephrine, which regulate metabolism, immune function, blood pressure, and stress response.
Many adrenal diseases remain underdiagnosed and misunderstood, including Addison’s disease and other forms of primary adrenal insufficiency, secondary adrenal insufficiency, Cushing’s disease or syndrome, congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), adrenal cancer, and pheochromocytoma, adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), primary aldosteronism, and others.
Raising awareness is key to early detection, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment.
Education and support empower individuals and families to navigate the challenges of living with adrenal diseases.

Together, we can shine a light on adrenal diseases and advocate for better recognition, treatment, support, and more research to find cures. Join us in making a difference!
